Corny but very well executed! There are a couple of things I always look for in set up shots like this. Interesting lighting, focus and simplicity! You got all three. Great job of defining the egg against a white background without blowing anything out!

Definately fits the challenge. The image seems a bit dark to me though. The little humpty (while appearing to be good focus) is not very clear. I wonder if it's cause he doesn't seem lit well, or if it's cause he's very small in the photo? The top of the photo is well lit, I like how the egg blends into the background. The string also adds to the image. Wonder how it would look if the string were not cutting the image exactly in the center? Maybe of center the string a bit? Overall fun image.

I love the mini stool that the figurine rests on...It really adds to the feeling that 'Humpty' wants the egg back down. great choice of 'action figure'. The composition is well balanced and the illusion complete with the flax string! IMHO, the white background is a bit too bright where the egg 'floats' (minor detail)
Well done!

Nice trick or illusion but I think the egg has bee consumed in the white background.

Surrealist, limited range of colours (whites/ off whites, black, brown and a touch of red) and an unorthodox composition too. I like it!

Great concept, I think one tweak would be to put the narrow end of the egg down, which would make it resemble the balloon even more.

Well set up illusion, and well thought out. I would like to see a more even lighting across the whole picture for this to get top marks.

I don't understand this image..

Very funny, especially the stool. I wish the perspective were just a little lower and that mr D. figured a little more prominently in the photo. Finally, I wonder whether a nice clear blue sky with just a touch of cloud might have added to the illusion. In any case, It's clever and funny.

Concept is marvelous, would have liked to see more definition around the top of the egg.

Lovely story told by this image :)
Nice handling of the whites too. The egg more to the left might have brought stronger composition though. Nice one.

Cool idea and seemingly well executed. It's almost too bright at the top of the shot though - a slightly darker background might have shown off the "floating" egg more effectively, but still a good shot.

Interesting illusion and well done. I would not change anything technically.

Nice! I like the illusion, not much saying wow though. This seems like dull lighting, maybe that is what is causing the non wow factor.

I LOVE humpty dumpy, what a face - is it a character model from an Alice book, it looks just like the one in my complete works of Lewis Carroll. I do wish the background was a sky instead of a the blank background, and that the string was coming more out of the center than a little to the right. But nice illusion, this one has me stumped.
