I tried for the superimposition of the two main definitions of room: 1) an extent of space, and 2) defined by walls.

Tried to save the sky but unfortunately I couldn't.

The sky didn't cooperate, dusk didn't bring the major red hues I thought were coming. I went to process the images I had and - lo and behold - the date on the exif was 2098. After changing the date I ran out and shot a few photos, of which this was one.

I had two photos that competed for entry, one that was technically superior and one that was compositionally superior. In this case I chose composition over technical.

Jutilda told me that dining outside is the definition of the world alfresco.

This photo certainly says that to me. This set up shows that you have class and sophistication. Oh la la.

Love the composition, but the sky is distracting IMHO. I gave it a 6 during the challenge, so still a very nice shot.

'7' - The concept here is nice and the 'scenery' very good and I like the coloring effect (can't discern if it is sepia or not). Criticism; in my opinion, this would have had much more impact if there were 'less'. Even just the blanket, tray, flowers, book... would have looked good. Or just the chair and the table and flowers and glass, etc. A slightly different crop to balance out the shrubs perhaps, or emphasize that larger one on the right, would have made this a better photograph in my opinion.

Brighter colors might give it a boost.

Got the feeling of lot of room but the sky is so burnt out, maybe it fits the surreal feeling of the statement though

One thing I really enjoy about this site is the creativity and the effort that some members are willing to go to for a challenge. This is excellent. Really top marks for effort and thought. To nit-pick it is a shame that the sky is blown out. Perhaps the use of a graduated ND may have helped. should ribbon IMO.

It's too bad this shot seems so overexposed. It's really a great composition.
