nice shot, though I'd prefer a landscape shot with a tighter crop. the girl/swan interaction is superb, it should be more of the focus.

I like the feeling this photo gives me, but I'm not sure I can articulate it. I'll try: This photo gives me the feeling of a cycle of people peacefully observing other people who are peacefully observing other people. The swan is watching me, I'm watching the girl, the girl is watching the other side of the water. It's all very interesting when it comes together for me.

I like the composition, but I'm wondering what it would look like in color...maybe even better.

Great birds and setting and all...if there was enough resolution to work with I'd crop this as a horizontal frame: just below that one flat rock in the mid-foreground, and just above the bright band of clouds above the trees -- it would make the swan more prominent...

very nice shot... I like the way the land / water / land creates layers in this photo... good job!

Did you try a horizontal layout and cropping it just above the trees across the river so that the girl and swans were more of the picture, and not the sky? I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the picture is very grainy. Normally, that is not real appealing to me, but in this picture, it makes it feel like we are back in teh 70's, and for some reason, that is effective. Also, for some reason, I like that you got the back of her head, and not her face.

Good contrast, focus, a little grainy (low-pixel camera?). Would like the girl and swan to be closer and bigger in the scheme of things, but that's my personal opinion . . .

Looks a bit low-res. IME, with cameras ~2 megapixels it's best to frame a close as possible to get plenty of pixels on your subject. You could do without the overcast sky and dark grass, and that would free up more range of exposure for the girl (wouldn't she at least give you a profile?), swan, water and rocks.

Nice composition a little cropping at the bottom and top would have helped ...

This is a nice setting, and the black swan is great (I'm sure the girl is too), but I think that they are too disconnected both spatially and interpersonally. My preference would be the swan or the girl with this lovely backdrop, or the girl leaning forward talking to the swan, making a connection.

Nice pic.

Good composition. Tighter cropping would help improve the image.

Neat b&w.

This is a nice photograph. I might would have liked to see it cropped a bit tighter.

I like the composition and the way the river moves off to the right as it disappears. black swans are pretty rare too! I wish it was just a tiny bit closer to the swan! 9 - Annida
