Challenge: Long Exposure (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S3000
Location: Downstairs, guest room
Date: Jul 26, 2005
Aperture: auo
ISO: auto
Shutter: 3 sec.
Galleries: Vintage, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Jul 26, 2005

Really breaking new ground for me considering I thought my camera had no manual mode when it came to shutter speed, but I found by tinkering with it, I could keep it open for a max. of 3 sec.
This was done by me putting my cam on a tripod, setting the 10 sec. timer, sitting on bed for approx. 2 sec. then rolling backwards(if i jumped forward there would be a more visible light trail). The outfit was created with old clothes and spare pieces of fabric, in under 15 min.

Great shot...

I think the only thing that kept this from being a "9" was the object directly behind your face.

nice ghostly effect. i think the background (the bed frame) and the positioning of the model conflict with each other... i would have liked to have seen the entire face instead of it being half obscured by the object directly behind.

Head just a bit more forward and this could be a mean image. Bumping up.

I know the tilt is intentional but I don't like it. It adds nothing to this photo and in my opinion takes away. It does adds a certain uniquess to the shot but not enough to warrant it. I do like the focus and the noise and you've managed to capture a good shot without any hotspots off the metal bed frame. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <8>
If the photo wasn't tilted it may have gotten a <10>

Just very original, not sure how you did this. Lovely exposure, just the right atmosphere, beautifu.l, didn't feel haunted just mesmirised

Has the mental hospital feel with the bed frame, one of the better 'ghostly' images in the challenge. 7

This better do well. Although the "futuristic" light switch is a bit of an anachronism. Would have liked to have seen it cloned out...

This is pretty good. I've never tried something like this. The photo might have been just a bit better if the camera on the shelf behind your ghost wasn't in line with the ghost's face.

nice decision to crop at an angle, and the duotone works well, but I wish the objects on the shelf didn't block what looks to be a nice expression on your modle's face.

This is very nice...I love the "antique" feel...the tilt is just odd to me...but then, I'm not a big fan of "tilty" images...they always seem somewhat affected to me. This is a truly lovely portrayal regardless...I'm very drawn to the textures and light in this image.

Great photo, the angle of the shot is very well done, gives it a bit more of a creepy feel.

I like this composition, the perspective, and the sepia tone. Perhaps the face should have not overlapped with an element in the background...

I like the effort you put into making the picture "demodernized"
