Very beautiful subject! In my opinion, however, the centered composition seems to force my eyes to the center of the frame rather than moving them around the shot... perhaps a rule of thirds composition would work better?
Nice image. Good idea. I like the way the lighting helps the glass stand out. I also like the contrast between the shadows and the way it shows up on the background.
it looks like you messed with your reds and yellows too much. the nib shows up with red and yellow pixels that I THINK aren't really there. I like the pic though...cool subject.
Nicely done. Good color and texture, nice DOF. Interesting background lights/shadows - what is that? There are a couple of reflections, but they're just short of troublesome.
