I like how the different colored spots on the frog creates texture.

What a catch, a really neat shot.

Wonderful picture and in my top 5 this challenge.
I'd like to see a little more light on the frog eye that's in shadow and, conversely, a little less light on the lower areas of the glass - it fades a little too much into the background (for my preferences).
I think the frog feet suckers (or whatever they are called) on the inside of the glass really show the smoothness of the glass off very well.

This is cute. I like the tonal qualities of this pic but I think its a little overexposed. The toad is adorable and very well posed. Nice pic

o.k., how great is this? I love these guys and I just love this photo! I think it meets the challenge and more - good luck, high score:)

mmmm frog soupe. lol. Very original. I like he seems to be looking at the camera. Jacko. 8

I really like this shot, the only thing I think that would make it better is a vibrant background color.

An AWESOME tribute to Anthony Armstrong Jones (Lord Snowdon) ! This is a great image, and is possibly even a nice improvement on his 'The Natterjack Toad'. I LOVE the attidude of your critter. It's the epitome of cool! -9-

This is an outstanding shot. Even though the glass isn't the main topic, it is definately "supporting" it. 8

Is that your pet frog? Great shot, although the main focus is on the frog, and not the glass. Great job! - 8

Very cool. One of my faves! It kinda bugs me that we lost one of his eyes to a shadow. But overall, I think it's awesome. ;-)
05/09/2003 06:55:19 PM
fun! love the expression Zoom in on that toad (frog?) I'd love to see those sticky fingers against the glass closer up. Making the backgound white-white would be better too.
05/09/2003 06:34:43 PM
Excellent detail and lighting. Good job. - 9

Great set up. Backround is ideal. Subject is interesting. One minor flaw is the slight darkness (night enough light) on the toads right eye.
05/09/2003 09:19:30 AM
I'm a sucker for frogs, or in this case, toads! Very nice shot. Lighting, point of view and DOF are well used here! 10

This is a very good image. There are so many wonderful glass shots this week that it is difficult to find a real favourite, but this one is definitely in the running.
05/08/2003 11:32:26 PM
nice detail on the frog bumples
05/08/2003 08:41:49 PM
Very cute. Nicely exposed and composed.
05/08/2003 07:56:28 PM
I want to say I wish the glass were in focus too...but I want.
05/08/2003 04:59:26 PM
my favourite of the day! this better get a ribbon friend, I really like it. If I'm being reeeeally picky, I'd say a slightly darker backdrop would give some (IMO) needed costrast to the bowl. Go to DCPrints with this. Excellent. 9 (my only vote over an 8 by the way)
05/08/2003 04:04:59 PM
An interesting take on the challenge.
05/08/2003 01:44:05 PM
Very nice, but in my eyes the frog is the focus and therefore it doesn't quite meet the challenge. Actually I can't quite decide about that. Excellent shot of the frog though (or should I be saying toad?).
05/08/2003 12:24:11 PM
Interesting, but I wonder if your white background was the best choice. I hope you let this little fella go as soon as your shoot ended!
05/07/2003 11:52:23 PM
the glass really doesnt seem to be the main subject here
05/07/2003 11:42:27 PM
The frog makes the picture, because the glass is not all that clear. Now where did you get a frog, and how did you get him to perform so well? 9
05/07/2003 11:10:23 PM
Very nice detail on the frog, very nice lighting on the frog, would have made an excellent fauna entry. Great photo with the theme in the back seat.

This is a really good picture, but I don't really see the glass as the subject of the photo.
05/07/2003 07:18:07 PM
This reminds me of the story of the two frogs in the bucket of butter. Good feeling to this and well executed!
05/07/2003 05:38:32 PM
i wanna frog......he is cute. this is so fun.....shot so well. love it.
05/07/2003 03:13:39 PM
hard to find fault with this...........
05/07/2003 02:18:20 PM
The emphasis, really, is on the frog rather than the glass. The title, however, compensates very nicely and subtly.

Enjoyed seeing something clearly, of interest and informative in this challenge. Wonderful.
05/07/2003 10:52:05 AM
Great shot, but the frog's the star. IMHO, in a 'glass' challenge, the glass should be the star, not just an incidental part of the picture. Easily a 9 shot in some other more appropriate theme for it, though.
05/07/2003 04:04:20 AM
why is your primary focus on the frog? Nice picture and composition, but I think that frog is taking bigger part of the vision than glass.
05/07/2003 01:37:44 AM
tad oversharpened maybe . with all that texture it's easy to do. very cute and original tho
