I'm surprised to see this didn't do better. It was one of my top 3 picks.

I don't care for this selective color technique -- I don't see what that adds to the photo.

To me the interesting part of this photo is the way the shadow of the blade is falling on the building. I would've tried getting in closer and capturing that. Just an idea...

I like the composition but not the desaturation of everything except the sky.

Beautiful capture. You did extrememly well with the selective de-saturation. The blue sky makes for a nice background for the windmill and helps it stand out better. Good job.

This is an excellent image though I would have selected only the windmill for the partial desat. Reason is that the trees are not weathered. 6

If I may be honest I think I would have liked it more if the whole shot had been b/w or in colour, this selective desaturation doesn´t appeal to me personally and also draws the attention to the sky instead of the windmill wich is presumably the connection to the theme "wooden". Having said that though I still think this is above average in this challenge, I like the composition.

6 - I don't like the effect of the black & white against electric blue sky at all, however, it is a very nice composition.

I really like the selective desat on this shot. The only complaint I would have regarding the challenge, is it would be nice to see the color of the windmill, and the wood showing through where the paint is gone.

A pleasant shot, more interesting angles could have been used for a more dynamic shot

to me the selective desat is drawing attention away from your main subject of wood

I feel the sky is a little to blue but a very cool idea

Awesome sky. Great DOF and composition. I think this is one where I'd like to see it in color. Still a really great shot.

Hrmm, not sure what you were going for here, but the processing to the sky takes focus away from your intended subject...the sky is also too purple.
