They open the flood gates in early Spring. Pretty spectacular time of the year. It last 2-3 months, then slows down to a trickle during Summer to Winter.

Used Neat image ... that's what gives it the nice soft fluffy look.

The dark gradient on the sky is great!

Good concept, that's a postcardy subject all right, but your contrast is pumped WAY high. The water is blinding white, the sky almost twilight-dark, and the whole thing is painful to look at. The water's so bright you can't really see anything on it - it washes out the detail, and drags your eye down to something that isn't interesting to look at, rather than any actual focal point in the picture itself. The border and font label are just right for a postcard, though.

Good rerpresentation for Grand Falls (although I have never been there). The image seems too saturated.

Pretty. I'd love to visit! The contrast is a bit much. The whites are a little blown out in spots and the darks, too dark to see much detail. I realize you had to compromise, it's a tough picture to take.
Your sky is a beautiful blue.

the shot seems a bit dark, and the heavy border only adds to that feeling. However, I really like your composition-- i feel like I'm in the action. :)

Excellent. This could be the winner. My only complaint is that apart from the water, the rest of the shot is a little dark.

Oh Canada!

Great job, so a great grade of 10 from one Canadian to another. Good luck in the challenge. I get a rush just looking at it! Morgan

Lucky you living in a place like this! That water is amazing! The crispy dark blue sky is an added bonus here, an excellent capture and perfect postcard shot. The only thing is that it appears a little over softened to me, did you use NeatImage on this?

Nice contrasts and sky here. The falls are pretty too. The composition is great and focus works for this shot. The lighting is a bit harsh, but you capture the power of these falls.
