Complete version of my Macro V Challenge entry. I softened the background and touched up a couple of spots on the wings. I'm very pleased with both versions, but I think I like this one better).

comment from my 1-4-0 thread...

Great shot! lovely colours and crop on this and the antenna are awesome. I like what you have done with the background but between the tail? doesn't look quite the same as the rest of it.

His antennae look like fern! I've never even noticed this before. Guess I better run through your portfolio with a more discerning eye! This is spot on fabuloso!!!

Excellent macro of a Luna Moth. I've been told they can be found here in the Upper Peninsula, yet I have never seen one yet. Love the burred background.

These are interesting moths. I've only see one in person. I can see how they would be hard to photograph as the blend in well with their surroundings. Great job with this one.

Wow! This one and the cropped version are both great. I agree that I think I like this one best. Tack sharp focus and detail, wonderful rich color. Was this guy alive? Very well done.

Neat stuff. The circles on the wings look like half open eyes. I kinda like this crop over the one you submitted to the Macro challenge.

Beautiful. The blurred background really helps here, and the greens seem to be stronger than the close up. Nice shot.

I really like the 3d effect that this has going for it. The extra sharp feathery antennae almost look metallic. Very nice capture and finshing.

This is great I really like how you filled the frame with it. great color and detail. I think the background might be a litle too out of foucs. looks like the moth is floating.
