(If you notice, in the print version, I did some dodging on the connector part on the hose to make it look better, and also got rid of a couple of water specks.)
This one was fun. I ended up getting water on my d70 on the top, my flash all over and well, myself too...everything works fine.
Water is the most 'independent' thing in the entire world. It is free from control or form or structure. It chooses its own path. Water is one of the most powerful things in the world as well. Where it wants to go, it will go, and nothing will stand in its way. It is truly independent -- it does not rely on anything other than itself to survive. Even without gravity, water would still remain.
PP: Slight sharpen, crop, adjust brightness/contrast a bit, add border and that's that. Oh how I would have loved to crop that little droplet of water off of my backdrop -- but it's basic editing. |

Expecting at least a top ten for this. Only possible criticism is the colour of the background may be too intense although I have no idea what may be better. |

what a fun photograph, red is an interesting choice for the background, but one that I think works well. so far my favorite image. |

First round thought - well, interesting but I needed a perspective. Second round I thought - well, definitely not literal, but very well done. Capture is perfect and the exposure is excellent. Gave it an 8 and went on the bump up list. Third pass...I looked for a few minutes and thought about the mechanics of the shot, the time, creativity and what I perceived as the thought pattern. It got bumped to a 10. Very nice shot. Made me think and caught my attention instantly. Well done! |

Composition is strong here. The red background is a little overpowering, I might have tried blue or another cool color rather than a warm color. |

Cool picture and well executed, although I do see quite a bit of control here what with gravity and all... :) |

GREAT shot. I love the red/black contrast. Super stop action. Nice clear sparkle to the water too. |
