Taken in the park.
I don't have a family myself so found it difficult to relate to this one ;) so I decided animals have better grasp of family than I do so I went for the swans.

I tried to focus on composition here. I have the classis "S" and i felt my DOF was good as well.

Not a ribbon winner. Was going more for comments of the composition and DOF.

My other idea was a his and her razor and shaving cream ;)

Well. . . I for one, always give an emotional edge to duck pictures. I liked this one a lot and am really surprised that it did not score higher! It very much looks like a nurturing family, and I just love your sepia tones. I think you did a great job on this!!!!

There are too many super bright blown out areas on the photo. The cropping is too tight everywhere.

Compositionally, the lines on the adult lead you straight into the center of the photo which is a slightly OOF neck which curves and leads you back to the adult. The concept is wonderful.

The lighting feels a bit too harsh for me.

A bit washed out in the background, but shooting water can be hard. That aside, Its a good pic!

confusing whose neck goes to who , she does look like a typical critical mom though.

Nice crop. Sort of wish I could see more of the chicks' "faces"

A lovely idea, but the shoot is OOF. At this distance it should be much clearer and cleaner. Did you use a tripod? It looks like camera movement causing the blur.

This is a bit busy. I had to study it to figure out that those were goslings. But once I got that and read the title - I got a bit of a chuckle. The water is a tad harsh and detracts from the nice tones of the birds. I wish the babies necks and faces weren't so dark.

the background is all "washed out" making this less asthetic as it could be.
