ew - a plaster cast? maybe crop the extra finger at the bottom?

Are those fake hands? It look like rubber!

a beautiful family moment captured forever.. nicely done..

i really like the technique you have used. your lighting makes it looks like a sculpture. i wish you had chosen a different composition. perhaps cropping out the bottom would help.

Is that a statue?
07/13/2005 10:42:21 AM
This almost look like marble statuary. Very interesting photo and an interesting take on the processing. 8

Very sweet picture

These hands look like they could be plaster.
07/12/2005 03:35:57 PM
very nice idea seems a bit bright but, other than that very nice.

There is something wrong with this image! The texture of the skin is like clay!
07/12/2005 01:06:57 AM
clay hands? can not be real... lighting a bit harsh but otherwise an absolutely great composition.
07/11/2005 10:41:30 PM
This photo is a very good idea. Light is way to harsh for such a soft subject. Would try bounce flash or soft box or some sort of diffuser over the flash or natural window light with a white cardboard reflector and no flash.

I want to like this...and from a composition point of view I do. But, the skin looks like it's rubber or plastic or something odd. Creepy looking. 5 Second pass, bumping.

Beautiful

Very nice. and I must add that that is a teriffic casting. I wish ours had come out as good!
07/11/2005 02:08:49 PM
Looks kinda like a statue or something because of the texture of the hands
Good place to use a tight crop like you did and the black background works
07/11/2005 01:14:07 PM
This looks like a statue, amazing how detailed people can be when creating. Nice picture.
07/11/2005 12:40:46 PM
Is this a clay sculpture or just editing? Either way It is very sweet.
07/11/2005 11:37:13 AM
I think the flash was too bright here. You've lost a lot of the detail in the skin textures. Very sweet concept though.

lovely photo of a great family keepsake(i hope thats right...looks like a hand mold to me..sorry if im wrong). great lighting and perfect macro here but i would have cropped out the thing at the bottom. it does nothing to add to the photo and is a distraction for me. good luck

Good idea and quite a striking image but it looks to me to be a little bright and maybe a bit over done with the neat-image.
07/11/2005 03:33:25 AM
would have liked the skin tones to be more evident - but love the photo
07/11/2005 02:26:45 AM
I don't like the plasticity look of this picture.
07/11/2005 12:21:53 AM
This is a nice idea but WAY overexpposed. It almost looks like a plaster cast.
