Pinecone...a bit over exposed and te foucs is off. There is some shadow on much of the cone. You might have moved it left or right to avoid that and had a better chance of a good exposure.

The lighting in this shot is a little harsh. The shadows hide some details that might help boost interest. The grass blades make for a busy background and compete for attention with the subject. Might this be a pinecone instead of an acorn?

This wasn't as interesting as it could have been for me. I think that the depth of field is a bit disturbing - the grass is out of focus (and it looks like there might even be some motion blue on the frontmost piece of grass), but not enough so that it is a background object - it still seems to have enough space & focus to be distracting. The subject itself isn't interesting enough in this light to pull my eyes in.

Isn't this a pine cone?

Composition is a little unimaginative here - dead centre. I'd like to see less contrast and more detail so moving round so that the sun is behind you more would help.

If the subject was sharp it would help this pic tremendously.

The sunlight seems very harsh in this one. Probably would have been a better shot at a different time of day.

Nice close view of the acorn! Detail is pretty good and clear. A lot of the acorn is in shadows, making it hard to really see the subject of the photo well. Perhaps you were trying to avoid putting it in your own shadow while shooting?

Nice idea, would have been nice had it been sharper.

The lighting on this is ok, but the ends of the pineconeare blown out and the shadows are a bit dark for my taste. Also the grass makes the backdround to busy a composition.

Isn't this a pinecone?? The idea is nice, but the surrounding area is too busy and the light a tad too harsh. I with it were in better focus. It could make a nice photo if it were.

LIghting is very harsh. The subject and the background are close enough in texture and color to give the shot a lot of visual confusion. The piece of grass that moved during the shot (in front of the pinecone) is distracting.
