A good sense of perspective here, particularly in the mountains.

Do not believe me, but this pic could have been taken in my country, South Africa or Namibia at the Spitskoppe. Wonderful composition, great colors.

One of the only things that bothers me about this shot is the shadow of the plants on the bottom. I guess this is a bit unavoidable since there is shadows all the way down. The other thign is that it seems the color balance is a bit towards cyan (expecially in the sky), but that makes since. I don't know. But overall, this image is stunning, the composition is pretty much perfect, and the scenery is just awesome. Top 10.

Very strong example of the leading lines theme. Very nice capture. I might have used Brightness/Contrast and Levels to boost saturation a tad, but lovely as it is. Good luck inthe voting.

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.

Classic use of a road to direct attention into the scene.

That's one dusty road! The side lighting has added good texture to the gravel/sand and the lines lead you into the shot.
