Good idea. sorry but dont care for the blurryness.

Greater depth of field would bring the picture to life

Simple, yet effective: I like the focus on one nut only..well done

Fits challenge= 5
Color/lighting=1
DOF/focus=2
Wow factor/uniqueness=1
Attractiveness=1

Very pleasant to look at and even though your DOF has the other bolts blurred they aren't to the point where they are annoying or not interesting to look at. Colors and lighting are right on!

Good luck

Nice idea to single out one nut. Just a bit more DOF would be nice. That would allow the right face of the nut to be focused as well and still leave the other fuzzy.

One of my favourites! A little more contrast perhaps?

(too) Limited focus. May have actually been better in color.

Great DOF
the b&w treatment works well here

Oh I do love shallow DOF and the curve of the subject from foreground to back works so well too. I kind of like that rectangular cross-hatch effect to the right - how did you do that?

I like the colour and subject of this picture but personnaly I would have had more of the picture in focus.

Love the DOF. Nice use of the curve in the composition.
