Looking at past challenges, I saw e301 do something similar with a fork in "From the Psychedelic Kitchen." I loved it and wanted to try something similar. I didn't quite live up to that image, but I like the result anyway.

The setup was more difficult than I thought, and in the end the picture wasn't perfect. I used 3 screens to reflect a picture of a spectrum - 2 computer lcd's & a tv. If it weren't a basic editing challenge I would have burned the entire background a solid black, and fixed up a couple inconsistencies in the stripes.

Of course, now that I'm committed to the photo I realise that people may hate it for not showing the silvery "metallic essence" of the pitcher. But, I'm getting used to low scores, so I'll enter it anyway.

This is very cool! Great colors and good contrast to the background. You might consider a crop across the top--making it sort of a panoramic and making the kettle go almost top to bottom on the right of the pic. It should be even "stronger" that way!

Bebe - i gave a 6. I loved the reflection, i was very impressed with how well the jug reflected the spectrum. Techically its a very good picture - must not have been easy. For me, it lacked the oomph to go beyond just techically well done - it was missing something. Maybe if you could see a couple more items to complment the jug also reflecting the spectrum it would have gone than extra mile. I would consider this picture a sucess - you tried something new, and it came out excellent.

I like this very much, but would have centered it or made the off-set a bit more obvious.

Perhaps a little too much black? I think it is cool, but I had to look at it a few times to realise that.
