I just thought with the endless possibilities for this challenge that entering a soda can was a cop out and did nothing for me when voting. The shot is clear and the angle is interesting, the subject is boring.

I gave a 6. And i completely disagree with charmed - your choice of an interesting angle was the reason i gave you a 6. This isnt a stock photography site, its an artistic venture; bring on these original perspectives i say. I also like that you were up close and personal with the pop, for the same reason. Its nice to see a macro that isnt a flower/bug/water droplet.
The focus seems to be on the blue patten on the can, i would have prefered it to be on the 2 lines that become the drinking hole thing (i dont drink soda, i dont know what its called haha).
I'm not entierly sure the image *is* noisey, or if it is just the texture of the metal and the pixelated pattern that pop cans are printed with?

Interesting point of view - it makes the image as the subject is rather boring (what do you expect with a soda can!) Think the lighting is great - gives the can top depth. I like the POV - I think it works for this subject. I think the noise enhances the image - works with the subject. DOF also works. 7 - good luck in the challenge!

All these d@mn photos to look through, you've inspired me to have a drink! Seriously, nice use of macro so that the image is filled mostly with in-focus lines.
