Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi Arnit! I really liked this photo... as I said in my comment down below I gave it a ten. It's artsy, uses your camera's functions well, is very well lit, it shows you know how to use your camera and not just take a snapshot. The black background makes it look very dramatic... Almost dark... to go along with your title of the last goodbye... Excellent use of composition. It REALLY works well here. I also like your choice of borderl... it brings it to a close, and it almost makes me feel like I'm looking in a mirror (weird). That petal that is coming towards us looks 3-d, I feel as though it is reaching out to me. If i didn't know any better I'd try to pick it right out of the photo Your lighting is superb really highlighting the most important parts of the flower. Everything is truly beautiful, and you have a great outcome! Nice job... and good luck in your future entries.

I just missed out on voting on this one, but I would have given it a 10. Beautiful.

Nice ! Looks like a filter was used. That makes it even better ! One of the best.

You've used your DOF to your advanatge here making this a wonderful picture. Very solid shot and one of my faves from the challenge.

Absolutely stunning picture. Perfect composition and choice of crop. 10

Very nice. A little more DOF would make it better still. Don't understand the title.

Wonderful composition and execution. The yellows have a soft glow. Selective focus works very well.

a striking image. love the unconventional composition and framing/crop. very dramatic

Very nice! I like having the blurred 2nd in the background. Good color, narrow but usable focus (narrow on purpose). Comment removed, my bad. 8 Rob the Swash

Beautiful! I love the over all feel of this image!

One of the best shots of the challenge. I really like the main subject being "echoed" by the soft out-of-focus coloring in the background. Focus is placed in the perfect spot on the flower, helping it feel soft, while the vibrant color against the black background is very eye-catching. Great work. 10

one of my favorites in this challenge, sorry i cant vote, beautiful composition

I like this effect, only a minute part of this photo is in focus and the rest blends off into a blur created by the shallow DOF. It works!

WOW on this one. The lighting, background, exposure and detail captured is perfectly done. Your composition and perspective are creative. high marks for this one.

the depth, the style, the colors, the darkness...its beautiful.

Very interesting use of DOF... I like it, you'll prolly get a lot of comments like, why is the front and the back blurry? hehehe... Excellent composition, love the black background, good lighting... I'll go for a 10 for this one... Nice job!

The out-of-focus petals are a wonderful abstract image against the darkness. I like the crisp edge of the central circle. It really is more abstraction than flora - colors and shapes more than what they really are. I really like the photo - just not sure how well it says "flora"

beautiful use of shallow depth of field. I think this image would be equally strong without the flower in the background... excellent shot :) - setzler

The front flower is great. Focus & use of DoF are spot on. I really don't like the background flower though, would prefer the shot without it.

Your use of lighting and DOF make this a very powerful picture. There is nothing I would change. 10 -danny

Nice composition

Perfect against the black. I love this phot. I can only say you just nailed it :)

I don't know why yet, but the lack of DOF in this really works for me. Nice instincts.
