Oh my gosh...I just new this would ribbon! I have this a 10. I love the attitude that you caught with this...this is a one in a million catch IMO. The face seems a little soft (I'm on an LCD, so I'm not sure how accurate what I see is)...but I just thought this was a great catch!!

This little guy really does have that, "I'm gonna come over there and kick your ass" look!! :)

I love the perspective here. I think that the DOF is a bit too shallow; the bird's face seems to have rather soft focus. A bit more light on the bird's face would have improved the shot as well. Still, this is a solid entry, and one of my highest rated images of the challenge.

Great capture of a generally uninteresting bird

I love this image. In this challenge it gets a 10. Challenge aside, and knowing this is one of those take or it lose it shots where you only have about a second to react, I can only say that next time, try to get him to pose better! ;) A little lighting from under his belly would have added to an already amazing image. I'm hoping that, while voting, people take into consideration the difficulty in getting this kind of image. Good luck in the challenge!

Unusual head-on perspective which is interesting but leads to lack of eye contact and clarity on the face. Nice framing and dof on the background. 7

Your caption is great! It really brings into focus the concentrated and frustrated expression on the sparrow's face (I assume it's a sparrow of some sort). It really looks like it's gonna come after me if I utter one word of disagreement. Very cute & enjoyable shot! (7) I've come back to this one, because the expression & caption just kill me... I'm bumping it up to an 8. Nice job!

Nice title, really fits with this shot as he (she?) seems angry about something. A little too short DOF for my taste as the tail feathers are out of focus but nice job other than that, like this shot.

Amazing pic! A very difficult subject to shoot, I know. I compliment you on the sharpness and color. You have shown everyone the fact that a centered composition can work... Welkl done. 10

wow, did you have your camera pointed at the fence before the bird got there? They usually don't sit still long enough to compose a shot like this. Great job

Like this alot. Nicely framed by the fence. I like how you shot it across his back and you can see the feathers.
