Curves, Selective Color, USM. Cropped for greater focus on the staring pelican.

I hope I I don't get trashed because it looks like I used a custom filter. No filters were used at all. Didn't even use NeatImage. But a lot of my pelican shots end up looking that way.

I like this composition, especially the pelican facing the camera.

this seems a little jumbled to me, the pelikan looking toward the camera is lopped off and ( on my laptop) the heads fothe others have merged with the sky, 5

I like how the birds look as if they are looking at something else and yet you have the full attention of just one bird. The clarity is good, maybe a titch bright, but I like it.

I love this. At first I didn't see the middle bird looking at the camera. It"s like he's saying "So, what do you think you're doing?" 10

Cool shot, I like the one looking back at you, like he wants to kick a** or something

This is a great shot. I love the composition. What really detracts from it though (IMHO) is the glare on the water. I think with some selective processing you could reduce the light & glare on the water and draw the viewers' attention more to the primary subjects. Currently, I think the color of the light on the water and the color of the pelicans' head are too similar - it makes the birds appear to be washed out (when in fact they're not, they're great - it's the water). I think you could desaturate the water and add a gaussian blur to it in several layers to really make the water add to the pic instead of detract. Nice work though. (6)

I like how the one pelican is looking at the camera while the other two look to the right.
