I spotted this giant turtle off of the South Florida coast, and my friend jumped in to swim with him. He was as interested in us as we were in him.

I thought this would make it to the top ten for sure. What am I missing? It's a great shot.

Nice photo, one of the best I have seen on here!! Impresive how close the swimmer is to the turtle.

I'm having a tough time trying to decide what the creature is in the water. My first thought is a sea turtle, but they don't have long legs like this creature seems to have. Could be water distortion...hmmm. Other than a turtle, I don't have any other guesses. Okay, onto the voting...I feel that this is a good photo and that it meets the challenge, assuming that what I'm seeing is actually an animal..LOL It is well framed...no wasted space. The subjects are in good position. I like how you were able to capture the water coming off the human. Although maybe just a tad on the bright side and washed out, I like the colors and the glare off the water drops. Good luck in the challenge.

i'm guessing it's a turtle...

I wish I knew what the animal was in the water - a dolphin? a shark? a turtle? a manatee? Right now all I can be sure there is in this photo is a man wearing goggles.

I think the title serves the picture well... Too bad you couldn't get closer, but I know those things are hard to get...

This is certainly original! Clever, and well done.

That's awesome that you got a photo of a sea turtle. Too bad the photo doesn't show it better, like with it's face out of the water.

Is that a great white shark! You are brave! Very nice colors in this shot.

what the freak is that thing??? It kind of looks like a huge octopus, but I'm not sure. Without knowing, I don't think I'd want to be in the water.

oh my god what is it..
