This is a ruin next to our house. While thinking about the challenge, I looked at new buildings being constructed. I also thought about "animal construction" like spider webs. In the end I was desperate with the time running out and had a look at the ruins next to us. Eventually I came up with this shot.

241 out of 299 is not really something to be proud of. It was only my second submission ever. But now the "bug has bitten" - my wife is as excited about dpchallenge as I am. We worked together on the submission for "darkness". I was aiming to break at least the 5 barrier with this one, but as the voting continues it seems as if it is going even better. Now to get that unique, creative metal shot...

i like the confusion of perspective - needs more contrast or something

Nice composition. Looks like a true vintage photo. Reminds me of some artwork of Joseph Sudek.

Wow, that is a really great shot. Great choice on the sepia. I might have tried to crop a little tighter, but I love the feeling of space it has as is. Great work!

This is an interesting idea, but I think each photographer has a limited amount of time in which to grab the attention of the viewer. I found some interesting detail in this shot, but I had to spend some time at it & I'm not sure every voter will be willing to do that.

These are always great photos with views from one building to the next. This seems to say 'abandoned' rather than construction though.
