One of the most photographed tourist attractions of Naples, and franky I just don't understand the appeal of this turn-of-the-century shopping mall. There is an appealling astrological motif in the centre of the arcade on the floor, but you need access to one of the higher levels to take a photo of this. I'm really happy with the unusual viewpoint that my 12-24mm Sigma lens has given me here, managing to include the domed ceiling.
Handheld, no cropping.

i love how the roof is almost pointed straight at the viewer while the floor is level. creates a sense of vertigo, but at the same time offers the entire package into one shot.

i think it lacks a bit of contrast, just to be picky. :-)

I do now want a 12mm lens. Wow.

This is a great example of perspective, but also of distortion at the extremes. The ceiling is spectacular, though I might experiment with reducing the distortion in the top half of the image: the dome looks a little too round to me, and I wonder if compressing the top third of the image might create a more natural perspective (though that is probably not what you are aiming for here). If I were bbeing very fussy, I note that the RHS is cropped fractionally more than the LHS.

Nice wide angle shot emphasizing the architectural qualities of the building. I'm envious of the lens. good choice for bw, and nice enough textures and details.
