I didn't notice the flying pollen until after downloading the image. This was shot using a Canon Macro Extension 250D. I was shooting flowers and the Bee flew in and was a welcome guest:) I was very lucky to have him sitting still and being friendly.

Just browsing around and came back to this shot; how it didn't win astounds me, let alone coming in 7th. One of the more memorable shots here, in my opinion.

superior lighting, DoF, and focus... damn I wish I could get my macros that sharp.. this one rocks.. the pollen in the air really makes it... a better angle on the bee would make it a more powerful subject.. right now the flower shares much of the limelight, and ths is about the animals... however the quality is still so high I will give it at least a 9 if not a 10...

Good sharp crisp and clear photo. I don't know if that's pollen or not, but to capture it is remarkable. Very nice shot - 9

I keep trying with bees, but I just can't get decent results. I'm really jealous of this one.

Very nice shot! Hard to believe this is real (the lighting is so very killer good!!). Feels like a shot with everything under control, but unless the bee is dead, that would be extremely rare catch! (I chose to believe this isn't a set up, I'll only be slightly disappointed if I'm wrong) I love this shot. 10 Rob the Swash

Incredible!! Wow! I just can't get over this shot!

A perfect capture! You have an excellent eye and a lot of patience for sure. The pollen flying around gives this image so much impact. That and the shallow DOF, you have a masterpiece here!

Spectacular nature shot. The drops coming away from the flower are excellent, the detail on the bee is perfect and the colours are superb. My favourite so far 9. Superb photography, deserves a ribbon.

oh wow. I love this shot. The detail is amazing. You composition is perfect. Is this full framed or cropped? I'd like to know, cause if it's full frame and you used a macro lens, I'm going to need to invest in one.
