This is a great shot, I love the rhino, but I don't see how it relates to decisions.
Although there does seem to be something weighing on its mind. |

I look at this image and think how so many will say there is no link to this challenge, but cannot help myeslf to be influenced by the expression that this rhino seemingly has on his face. The lips seem pursed in wonder, the eyes: squinted with worry lines above and below, the stance is reticent. Were this a human subject with an expression like this one would be forced to agree that the person was deep in thought, potentially making a hard decision. For the expression alone then, I grant a solid link to the challenge request.
The image quality is superb. I see nothing that looks like a completely blown highlight. The subject is clear and in focus, the background muted by DOF and the composition is very balanced. Even the border accents the whole. I then look to my benchmark images and consider that this image rates right up there with them, it is not a benchmark image for me, but compared to those benchmarks it's quality and finesse deserves a 10. Bravo for taking an abstract concept and capturing it for me in a unique way that given some imagination really embraces the challenge of decision! |

| Fantastic photo. I love how it is lit around the mouth, and on the top of its head and back. GREAT eye! The clarity it superb. I don't see how it meets the challenge of shooting a decision, though, so I didn't score it as high as I would like to have. |

| I wonder if a different composition of the same subject would have been more effective, maybe a closeup profile of the head, or a straight on shot down the nose, horns, shoulders, and back? Did you take other versions? |

| This sure is a fancy photo, but I don't see how it meets the challenge at all. I ask myself 'what decision is being made here'? I do not see him making any decisions and I do not see any 'options' for him to made decisions from. About the photo... Focus and clarity are good on the rhino, background is nicely blurred. The bright area of sun in the upper right is distracting and also creates some bright areas on the rhino's skin. ~Heather~ |

| This is a lovely shot, very sharp and interesting and I would have scored it very high in a "wildlife" challenge but here I really just don´t see a decision, call me narrow minded but I just don´t see it. |
