Nice capture, I laughed at the hair on her chin! I hope I never look like that someday! Image is a little too soft and grainy for my taste, but very nice overall. 5

I love how she's lit on one side, and that her whiskers are lit up. Very nice highlights. NIcely cropped.

First let me say that you've probably already heard about the noise, so I'm not going to talk about it much. It doesn't really bother me; there is perhaps a tad too much, but it's not enough to take much at all away from this photograph for me. I think you've done a marvelous job of catching some of this beautiful animal's spirit on [not film - um, digital media? :)] and I love the way the light, shadows, and lovely, smooth background look. The bright sky fits - the shadows and highlights are right on to my eye. I also like the crop/composition - lovely photograph! Lots of personality. 8.

Love the composition and the subject of this shot! Lighting looks pretty good too, but there is quite a bit of noise/grain in this image. Check out the demo of NeatImage, which should help clear that right up! Other than that, I really like this pic a lot :-)

Very nice capture, though image seems to have alot of noise the distracts from the quality of the image in my opinion.

The setting sun or sunrise is very attractive here, great movement of the mane. I think the noise/grain/ or whatever is okay but would suggest you check your ISO it might of been a bit high?? The horse is beautiful, she looks young and sweet. Those ears are at full attention. Good entry.

Beauty is a subjective thing, I know. In my scoring and comments I'm trying to score based on NOT whether or not I would think a particular subject beautiful, but on whether the photographer has succeeded in creating a beautiful photo. I look for the elements of color, lines, focus and dof interest, lighting, and a certain element of grace and lovlieness. I'm looking for a unique and creative appeal for the highest scorers. The description says to create a photo that makes the viewer think "that's beautiful", so it will undoubtedly be very subjective. (This is what I'm putting at the start of all of my comments, and I hope it is helpful.)

That being said, nice subject here. She sure has some whiskers! :) I really like the time of day and the lighting and I like the movement of the mane. Just doesn't seem to have any "wow" factor that makes me think "beauty".

softness, noise, blah, blah blah. You've probably heard it all. The lighting is excellent in this image - really adds to the composition. Really like this image. Also don't mind the softness or noise. It gives the image a mood that can't be replicated with neatimage and USM. The capture of movement in this image is excellent. 9 - good luck in the challenge!

She's very beautiful. She looks like she's in one of those carefree shakes of her head. I like it a lot!

I love this shot. Just wonder why there is so much noise. Was it deliberate or part of the processing? In any event- this is definitely Beauty!
