Greetings from the Critique Club :)
I agree wholeheartedly with you, this tree has great character and apparently a camera hound spirit if it called you back several times ;).
The composition is great on the shot. I like the off-center placement of the tree in question and the host of others scattered about it.
The focus and clarity is wonderful. Nice and crisp with great contrast between the darkness of the aged wood and the green of new pine needles.
Overall, a great shot and something I would have gone after if I'd see that great tree myself LOL.

Nice and sharp. I like it. (I see a little elf halfway down the tree.) |

Very nice take on the challenge... Composition works well, in my opinion, especially the trees that draw my eyes up and down the shot. |

The long portrait format works here, I like it. |

Good thought, and good shot - though if it were mine, I'd have tried to place it against a simpler background, or use a shallow DOF to blur out the other trees - all those other lines and tones distract from the impact. |

Your subject is somewhat lost against its background. |

More like Dead (v). But a nice photo none the less. The colour look very natural, and I like the cropping here. (8) |

Living in a warm climate, I love anything with snow. I like this pic, but I find the trees in the foreground a little distracting from the main focus. I do like your approach though. Few people have shown the effects of weather in their photos, so I like this one, because it is different, and it does fully fit the challenge given. |

Nice representaion of weather. Good white snow. The tree seems to be just a touch out of focus. |
