I like the idea of this photo but the implementation could be better. More light to the center and the sharpness could be on the right.

The black and white seems to lack the contrast I imagine the color shot would've had. Also the DOF is a little off, I would've liked to see the stem in more focus.

This is a nice image. I really like the fact that you shot this image in black and white and the texture and detail seen in the apple.
