 Picture was taken in the afternoon, on a rather hazy, cloudy, early Spring day. It seemed like the right photo for a b/w rendition. I trimmed it a bit, and resampled it from the 1600x1200 original so it would meet the challenge's size guidelines.

i'd be stark-raving mad not to give a high score on this! this looks great in b&w - certainly contributes to the starkness.

I find black & white the most challenging part of the photographic process. You seem to be on the right track. If you use a polarize or red filter your clouds would be inhanced. Good job.

Like the Picture, Hate the Boarder. Nice contrast. I think the you cut too much off the top of the tree. the B/W work well here.

really good. I think you've shown that B/W is one of the best ways to show dull winter/early spring landscapes. 8 good frame also.

Now this is a fine shot! B&W works here, the detail is amazing and those clouds are wild! The border appears a tad to thick though, maybe just my taste however :-)

I like the look of this picture, and I think it meets the challenge to a degree. However, for me it's more of a landscape/nature shot then a weather picture, as your attention is drawn to the starkness of the trees, with a nice background of clouds.
