The tree is clearly a good subject for this challenge. The flowers contrast the fallen tree. This might work better if you could somehow get a different angle, either from the side or lower looking upward to emphasize the "falleness" of the tree against the "normal" surroundings and hotizon.

Interesting shoot. I think the shot would look better from a higher angle to show more of the tree. I thinkg this is a little oversharpened, like in the grass and plants in the water.
Great colors!! The focus appears just a bit beyond the dead fall, and in the water. Would a vertical shot or crop have gotten more of the tree in and then it disappearing out the corner?
