My kids posing for me, just playing around with light. Camelia is a great poser. Patrick just likes playing his Game Boy.

Shot using my Tamron 28-75 XR Di f/2.8 @ 28mm. I love this lens.

Processed from the small JPEG saved along with the RAW file. No time to go from the RAW.

Wonderful lighting and composition in this one! Although the girl is the silhouette, it's the boy who really draws ones attention.

One of my top three photos for this challenge. I love the contrast of the girl's silhouette versus the boy in full view. I am drawn into the solitude of the photo - despite depicting two people, it really gives you a sense of being alone. I can easily get lost in either person's world. The boy, whiling away an afternoon, bored but intent. The girl longing to be elsewhere, even her pose helps the viewer imagine her face lost in thought. The lighting is wonderful. The sepia is just perfect, and this coming from one who is not a fan of sepia. 10 and into my favs it goes.

Why did this have to be validated? For what reason would this be recommended for DQ? (Great photo)

I admire this shot immensely. The tonalities are beautiful, the whole scene speaks to me hauntingly. As a "silhouette" entry it will probably be seen as marginal by the voters, but I'm willing to accept it as meeting the challenge. Nice work!

A very nice entry though the reason for validation escapes me. Great sepia tones to exploit the lovely lighting. Bumping up.

While not one of the more breathtaking silhouetts in the challenge it is definately one of the more detailed. You managed to capture hundreds of texture pefecty and crisply. I always enjoy a photo that still leaves you new things to enjoy after you glance at it the first time. Very nice. 8

the sepia tone works well.
and the "bored" looking child interacts well with the "impatient" woman.

This is a nice image, but right on the verge of too much detail for me in the Silhouette. <6>

Really nice! Soft warm quiet. Nice lines, forms, and composition. Wonderful contrast! there is a little spot in the lower left window that is a little distracting, but no big deal.

You've really captured a mood with this one! Very nice. The sepia really adds to the feel of this one.

Nice image. One silhouette - is not the focal point. girl by herself might have fit challenge better.
