Hello from the Critique Club!!!

Composition:

This is a well composed shot. I like the angle of the photo. It makes a strong statement and it makes you stop and look closer at the picture. This is a very interesting building with great architectural details and the lighting helped to enhance these features. You have met the challenge well.

Background/ Foreground

The sky is very foreboding and it adds to the mysterious feel of the shot.

Camera Work:

Focus is great. Lighting works and adds to the shot. The white specks are distracting and I like a few others tried to clean my monitor before realizing it was in the picture.

Post-Processing:

I can not comment on your post-processing because you did not include it in the comment field. Including this information helps us see what you have done, and can help teach other users how to use post processing to improve their pictures.

My Opinion:

I like the shot even more every time I look at it. I see something new each time. I would have expected that you should have scored higher but the comments you received should make up for the score.
It would have been nice for you to have made more comments than blah blah blah. A lot is members look here for information about how you feel about your work and what you did to make this picture special.
You have a natural eye so keep shooting and sharing your work with us.

I hope you find these comments to be helpful, thank you for allowing me to critique your picture. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me via PM.

Best of luck in your future photographic endeavors,

Great night shot, what a forbidding building! It would have been good to try a hue shift from dirty orange to blue

There were so many buildings used in this challenge that I was getting very bored with them....until I came upon yours. Your lighting, exposure, and angle make this a great shot!

Good shot! Night shots always appeal to me if they are well done, and this one is! I like it that you can see some stars in the sky.

Neat Building, wonder where it is?
05/11/2005 11:52:44 AM
That's a fair oddly shaped building. I'm guessing you had to slant the side to emphasize the triangle? I would have liked the vertical line parallel (and preferably on the vertical 1/3rds line) - maybe if you moved around...

Nice shot, anyways. I like the focus and the exposure seems perfect. Nice and crisp with great tones. Good job and good luck for the challenge!
