My daughter Ellie, horsefan here on DPC.

The idea is to be young again, to be a child, to be free and without the adult responsiblities.

Cropped, selected the eyes, adjusted the blue, inversed the selection, desaturated, adjusted the curves, added the border. Hope you like it, she actually volunteered and came up with this idea. ;)

Beautiful editing to create a dreamlike inner scape of this girl. The eyes are wonderful. The chin is lost in the overdesat, but I really enjoy this photo.

Contrast of color on black and white makes this a riveting portrait

And it appears that you can do so in color. I think that the eyes would have been a stronger focal point if they had more detail or a more well-defined catchlight. The selective desaturation only draws my attention to the fact that I can't even distinguish between her pupil and iris. Most of the detail on the face is blown out (which again draws attention to the eyes), but there are still a few well-defined, large freckles. Since advanced editing was allowed, you could have cloned these out, but I might have preferred it if you'd have left more of the detail in whichever channel contained the freckles, which would have preserved the contours of your model's face.

A nice attempt at high key. I'm not particularly keen on the purple used for the eyes, it seems too strong and too unnatural. There's also a few too many distractions creeping into the shot such as the collar, and the background next to the eye on the left. Focus is very good and the composition isn't bad though.

Pity about overexposing this image and desaturating it as well makes the eyes really stand out way too much....

I quite like this high-key shot, although I find that the neckline of the shirt in the bottom right corner intrudes a bit.

Nice high key image & deep blue eyes color...skin could use a little work though :)

I like the eyes and expression, I believe the highlights could have been toned down and shown the chin a little more. 8
