Taken at Sydney, Australia. Toss up between a nice looking skyline with bridge or not so exciting famous landmark. Guessing people will probably recognize this more than say a bridge with some pretty lit up buildings.

Long exposure, tripod, noise ninja, crop, curves

My camera has not been set to the Australian time however, but it's still within the allotted time.

It's hard to beat a good pic of the Opera House. Super job. I lived there while it was being built. Great to bring back good memories with such a beautiful photo.

Very nice. Horizon is a bit tilted. Great exposure and sharpness. Love the water.
Second pass: Bumping up.

nice Aussie shot but I would have preferred half the water cropped off
05/06/2005 09:50:31 AM
This is a nice image. I really like the reflection seen on the water in this photograph. nice work.

wow good pic

Great reflections

Stunning. The lighting is great, and the reflections of the light on the water are beautiful. There's a little noise in the sky that bugs me, and it feels like the horizon is off by a few degrees. Still, this is a very nice image.

classic shot of a classic structure.

Sydney is better lit than Canberra I see.

so sharp, so silky. I love this.

beautiful work

Can't go wrong with that subject.
The crop is a bit too tight for my liking and the horizon is tilted.
05/05/2005 03:03:57 AM
Stellar photograph. I like the colors, the golden reflection of the lighted domes in the water. Most of all I like how smooth this is, the blending of colors. Like the dark sky as a background. Nothing distracts from the subject. Excellent capture.
05/05/2005 12:17:24 AM
great shot.
05/04/2005 08:35:23 PM
A wee bit over processed for my taste, good luck
05/04/2005 08:30:04 PM
Oh, I like this one! The reflection is luminous. Everything looks great.

Boy do I miss Australia. I was there once back in 1969 when I took my R & R there while serving in the Marines. Great people there that made me feel at home and I will never forget that. You get a 10 from me!
05/04/2005 07:08:19 PM
Nice shot, with good white balance. I just feel it is a bit soft, so I would have usmed it a little (more). Good job, though.
05/04/2005 05:47:36 PM
Nice picture, I can never see enough of this. My only complaint is the lights in the center are over exposed. But what can you do? Good photo
05/04/2005 05:05:55 PM
just a little dark on the building, though brightening that up may have really blown out some of the lights. 9
05/04/2005 03:57:55 PM
A classic shot, and well done. I like the reflections of the lights on the water below, which looks so wonderfully smooth and glassy. Nice crisp image. Great job!

Breathtaking. I almost think you lucky guys that live with these exotic scenery advantages should have to take a voting handicap to give the rest of us who live in boring unexotic places a chance :) (just kidding). This is just so well done -- so sharp and vivid. You couldn't have done a better job! 10
05/04/2005 02:45:51 PM
Horizon looks tilted. Not particularly sharp.
05/04/2005 01:56:48 PM

Haven't we seen this shot before?
05/04/2005 09:13:37 AM
9 Aussie. I hope to go right there one day. This building Opera House has been photographed so often ..I want my chance!! Love seeing it at night here. This is very nice.
05/04/2005 09:00:25 AM
this is probably my favorite so far. the only thing that bothers me (and this is REALLLY nit-picky) is it seems to be slighly tilted to the right. easy fix though. nice shot!
05/04/2005 07:06:35 AM
Great capture of a great landmark
05/04/2005 06:46:42 AM
Beautiful photo but the nitpicker in me thinks it might be off level at the waterline.. Good luck. 8
05/04/2005 06:27:14 AM
Nice lighting, nice exposure...but kind of a boring shot, unless you are selling it as an advertisement.
05/04/2005 02:32:16 AM
nice balance. Whites on bottom seem to strong. 9
05/04/2005 02:29:04 AM
