This photo represent, for me, an altered view dreams can provide into our subconscious.
Cropped, adjusted levels and saturation. Used lasso tool to separate archway from background. Rotated the lasso's layer 45 degrees, boosted contrast and decreased brightness. On the background layer, decrease contrast and increased brightness. Flattened layers. cloned out driveway edge and small part of the white archway not covered by the rotated layer.
Checked this our with the Site Council prior to submitting as I expect a DQ challenge. I'm not sure if it will pass the scrutiny but I hope so.
This was my third attempt at a portal scene (most had simple editing to make the background b&w and the gateway color. I wanted something with a more surreal feel. This is by far my most edited shot.

Great editing! Selective rotation? Helps to really draw the gaze to the portal. |

This looks like something that scalvert would make. And I mean it in the best possible manner - I love the execution. The difference in color tone between this side and the other side is just subtle enough to enhance the power of the image. 8. |
