 I often dream of being trapped in an unpopulated generic city where none of the phones work and thus I am unable to escape...this is my take on that dream. Taken in Providence, RI on a foggy afternoon with a light drizzle falling..the city looked kind of eerie. The shot needed to be desaturated because the effect wasn't as pronounced in color. I cropped out some cars, enhanced the lights with dodge tool, used curves to get the light/shadows where they appealed to me..then used unsharp filter and brightness/contrast.

Marion, Congratulations on such a strong finish, even tho I really think this picture should have scored much higher, It is such a neat picture and one of the best in the challenge. Good luck in future challenges!

The light in the street lights is very appealing, and so is the fog. I love the quiet mood.

this image is mysterious ... yet cold ... i like the way you captured the fog and street lights - gives it an interesting feel to it

The mist really sets the mood for this shot. The lamposts look GREAT! Good positioning, I like the way the lamposts and the trees lead your eye along the fence and sidewalk.

Wow. You've captured this really well. I've tried to get shots in the fog like this, but they've never come out as well as this.

Has a nice dreamlike quality with the mist and streetlights, but the foreground tree is too strong and grabs too much attention.
