Mrs. Fenwick was my third grade teacher. She was the first teacher I remember who really encouraged me personally to pursue artistic excellence in everything I did. She loved what I did, but even in third grade, she had a friendly way of demanding excellence when it was in me to give.

Thanks, Mrs. Fenwick!

You probably had a great teacher growing up or even recently. Make it a point this week to send them an apple!

THe apple almost looks fake. Something about the color doesn't seem right to me. Good idea for this challenge.

Good picture but a little too much saturation. I would have liked it better if you left it with its natural colors.

Ahh....This sure does bring back good memories. Or does it? Now that I think about it, apples weren't a huge part of my schooling. I think I liked to eat apple wedges, but the bigger memory is of deviled eggs. All my friends used to give theirs to me. I hated milk, but Mrs. Arda-choke Chapel would force me to drink it, so I'd gulp it while plugging my nose so as not to taste it and gag. Anyway, I really like this picture. It's got a lot of deep inuendos.

Nice shiny apple. I like the props...but if everything else is out of focus except the apply, why is the crayola box so sharp?

If i were a teacher, you would get an A++... but I am not, so you get a 9. It may be the way it uploaded, but it's a little too red for my taste and almost like a silkscreening.

this is great, i love the composition, color and texture, very nicely arranged clever background, and even the crayons, definitely overused in this challenge don't spoil it, they fit right in! one of my favorites here... 9

nice but for me, the light at the middle top spoils the shot somewhat

Nice. Crayon box should have been open. . . with some out to add splash of other colors?
