Just saw this. It's unusual and I love the yellow/black/lilac combo. Nice how the balance of the bird and the stem with leaves gives you two things to look at.

Very nice. The DOF is wonderful here and the color of the background really accentuates the yellow of the bird. Great job!

I love how you ended up with a pink background, which sets off the yellow of the bird so nicely. The added bonus is the budding leaves. 8
