I think this is an excellent portrait. I'm not so sure about being an Ad though. Some of the earring is covered by her hair and without seeing the entire piece of jewelry, I probably would not be interested in buying it.
Focus and clarity are very good. Very nice eyes, and detail in the earring.
The lighting is uneven. There are some patches which are bright and there are also shadows. That doesn't destroy the photo, but it is noticable.
I like how the color of the shirt and earring is similar. It doesn't distract, but I think it adds to the photo. The background is nice. blurred green, nothing distracting there.
Again, this is a really good portrait, but in my opinion, not as good of an ad.

I don't card for the hair covering the top of the earing.

Bright & cheery.
Brightest part that grabs my eye is the jewelry, so you acheived making it the main focal point. Not sure the composition / crop is best for the shot, as there is too much competeing with the earring. (5)

Too bad you had sunlight on parts of her face. Otherwise it was very good.

I really like this. Only thing I'd do is get rid of the shadows on the earing, and darken the overblown edges. But I think this would have worked great as an advertisment.

Great Photo! I would have made sure that the top of the ear was not showing but rather the bottom even if it was only slightly visable so we could see the clip more. Love the angle of the models head and the look in her eye - bumping up

A good shot yet I would have loved if the earring would have gotton as much attention as the model's pretty eyes. Bumping up.

the lighting is very flat and forward which leaves the texture of the earring (which could have been very good) rather flat as well. Showing the earring lit by the sun from behind (to create a halo), with some fill flash or reflective fill (a piece of white poster board works surprizingly well) coould have produced a memorable shot.

I wish there had been a slightly larger dof as the model's lips look a bit out of focus. I like how clear her eyes are though. You had the sun right in hte right spot. 6

Nice shot under tough lighting conditions. I wonder how this would have looked if you cropped say 100 - 125 pixels off the top? I like the sparkle in her eye. Does she have something blue on her lips? The beads on the end of the earring are a bit hot. Overall, a very interesting approach to this challenge...I like it. Good luck.

Nice model but her hair covers the piece. I also like your chioce of jewelry but would have prefered to see it with studio lighting and on a black background. Just some thoughts.

Cool composition and pose, however for some reason her teeth seem a bit out of focus.

I like this one a lot. I like it that she's smiling and happy looking. Good job.

the dark lipstick, lines on the neck hurt this picture
a good quarter of the earring is hidden from view ..

Slightly wierd composition here. the DOF could've been better as well, since even tho the portrait is nice, its a bit out of focus in the middle of the face. Colours could be punched some more and the item displayed could use lots more sharpness and contrast. 5

Too much ear, not enough earring. Otherwise really nice!

I think if you had tucked her hair behind her ear or even pulled it back to focus on the earring it would have packed more of a punch

I would ahve been better to show the whole earing. Almost 1/3 is hidden by her hair ....

Focus, saturation are needed here, but a very nice shot. It seems the cheek is what the camera has in focus, rather then the earring.
