Too dark - the subject doesn't really stand out. May have been better against white?

The subject needs to dominate the scene eventhough it takes up the minority in space. Since your subject is so dark, I have to go in search of the subject

soft focus...had to read title to make out what subjest was. i think some soft light wouldve made this better and sharper focus ...5
