it looks like you used two light sources to shoot this picture and my only complaint is that you may have wanted to try a third to eliminate the shadows of the doornob or have them 180 degrees apart from each other. GREAT SHOT though.....9
This is a very smart entry though some will miss the point. You see, had you called it "steel circle" or any other name it would have faired much higher. I was impressed upon first site and was unable to determine the item at once. I then did and smiled. Wow, I said, what a cool entry. Certainly the colors are great along with the smart composition. Then I saw the title.
Regardless you get full points for creativity and presentation. You get bumped to 7. Good work.
Well executed. Great color juxtaposition. The only thing holding this back from a higher score is the POV. I think. Not sure if it would work better slightly lower/straight on or not. The knob has a funny tint that resembles skin - your arm perhaps? 8 from me. While I like the shot and believe its well done, its not quite there for me.
Nice minimalistic shot - basic forms and colors, strong composition and perspective. I only feel that the imperfections on the blue part are too visible, which is a bit of a turn off... Maybe by smoothing or blurring it a bit, the image could improve... I'm not sure - I'm no expert on photo editing... But it sure does stand out. Good job.
