This is one cool shot! I really like it. The title is perfect, and the presentation is just right for this photo. At least in my opinion :) I am not sure if it fits the "minimalist" concept, especially since the tracks are a big part of the story told. 9 from me.

I would leave some beer cans around the chair, not just because it adds to the photo's story, but also because I am lazy like that.

i like it, reminds me of early color photographs, it makes me wonder who would be sitting in that chair
05/03/2005 03:37:21 PM
i absolutely love the coloring on this shot.

very interesting = good depth of field.

The contrast seems a bit high
05/01/2005 06:00:09 PM
nicely done.

the detials in many parts of your darks are lost...

Would have been way cooler if a person was actually sitting in the chair. The image is a lot on the darker side too..

Thanks for giving me something different to look at...nic etake on the challenge. I like the feeling I get..tones work well here. Nice dramatic context.

I like this kinda stuff, and this photo is definatly well done. It casts a mood over me, great picture

This has a "memory" feeling to it. I like this photo for that reason. Nice job.

I like the contrasty feel of the shot. 6

Love the theme. Good composition. Excellent DOF; I like the foreground out of focus and the chair in sharp focus. Good work 7

like the colors, chair really stands out

Love it! Fun setup and really nice, dark processing that works perfectly for this scene and for the challenge.

This isn't minimalism in my mind. I am sorry that I can't point anything out to make this better it is my limitations only. Maybe not as disturbing surroundings and the chair standing better out would make it good.
04/29/2005 06:22:08 PM
Moving back some would help.

I really like this image and I can't pinpoint why....which is better than knowing. Hope that makes sense. 10

I get a very old worn feeling from this. Makes me wonder "why is there a chair there?".
04/28/2005 04:28:12 PM
Maybe there should be someone sitting in the chair? except for the chair and rails, the rest of the image lacks visual interest, and the monochamaticy of it loses points, in this case, i just don';t think it works, and the image is too sharpenned too, 4

I love the textures and colors. Seem like a bit of fuzziness at the top but I still gave it an 8.
04/28/2005 04:26:08 AM
I like this photograph's tone. Interesting pov used. Strange focus, blurred foreground and blurred background, focus on the chair, kind of. It works for me. Tells a story. I am a real push-over for "chair" photos.

Very original and creative concept. Love the colors. I only feel that, if you eliminated the sky area, which is a little distracting, the photo would greatly improve.

Really creepy. Well done!

I like the harsh contrast, and it feels to me that more grain would be effective. 8
04/27/2005 06:16:16 AM
more surrealism than minimalism, IMHO
04/27/2005 03:26:01 AM
very interesting shot and colors
04/27/2005 01:02:40 AM
Interesting saturation effect. Nice composition. The chair almost looks artificially imposed because of the post processing, though. I might try blending it in a little more, if I were the one doing it. But I'm not, so never mind me. Nice work.
