I have read through all of the comments you have received on this photo so far and i have to agree with most of them. This little girl is beyond precious with her gorgeous smile and beautiful dark cursl. Its very unfortunate about the lighting though. Such a simple thing can ruin an otherwise perfect photo. Something as simple as a white card can be used as a reflector, to reflect some light back onto her face. This would all but eliminate the dark shadows and open up her face.

I like the soft focus very much here. Beautiful attempt, and even with the flaws in the lighting, sure to be a favorite photo to her family.

Beautiful model and expression. It's a novel choice of lighting. I'm afraid that I find the shadows it produces beneath the eyes to be just a bit too strong for my tastes.

Beautiful girl. Needs more lite on her face.

She sure is. The softness and tones are outstanding, but I think the shadows on the face are a bit too much. I'm not sure what kind of lighting you were using but there's obviously a powerful overhead providing the majority of the illumination. I envision more of a backlit bright, with soft fills coming from the front/side of the little girl to soften the shadows on her face.

Nice shot, I gave it a 5 because of the lighting, it casts really dark shadows under the eyes and the line across her forhead.

Such a cute litle girl. I think I would have prefered different lighting though.

So many shadows...takes away from the angel feel.

very sweet smile and adorable face...wish there was a bit more light on it so i could see better. next time, maybe have her tilt her head up a bit to let more light shine on her pretty face.

such a lovely girl and a nice shot, but the light from above makes it look like she has huge dark bags under her eyes and shows a shadow on the dress...

Cute girl. Very cute. I wish her face wasn't so shadowed, especially under the eyes.

Very pretty. Shadows under the eyes are a bit harsh and distracting. More lighting on her face would have gotten rid of that

The lighting is somewhat unflattering...particularly in her face. The undereye shadows give a bit of a sinister appearance. I do like the soft focus though.

Very lovely photo of this angle! I would have preferred a little more light coming in from below to illuminate the face a bit more, still very well done!

Cute model. I would have tried to sharpen the eyes in the post editing, or had her lift her head to get more light on the eyes. Maybe both.

with the shadows, esp under the eyes, she looks a bit more like a devil than an angel, or at least like a misbehaving angel.
very nice expression and good light
good luck

nice lighting, although you could probably do with reflecting a bit up at the face.

How appropriate is the title for this one! Love the light coming from above this precious model! Gives the impression that she is being looked upon from above. Wonderful shot. I am sure that this picture will be treasured for years to come. 10!!!!

She's giving you an adorable smile and as a subject, she is truly a "Little Angel". Unfortunately, the lighing is not flattering. The shadows are too dark. I would try to reshoot with light reflecting back onto her face or try natural light. The highlight on her hair works very well, though.

yes- she looks exactly like an angel. Since this was advanced edit I would have tried lightening under the neck a bit.

This is a constructive comment.
Be carefull with your lighting. It's clearly comming from above but it casts distracting shadows under the girls face and over and under the eyes. Making her eyes, the most defining feature of a person, less noticable, you could have tried using a reflector (a real one, a big white piece of paper or a piece of white foam, to reflect some of the light back into her face from beneath.
