Hi there
I there some way you can prevent these shots to be blocked from being copied and printed?????
Anyone could go ahead and use anywhere they wanted. I am wanting to download some photos but that would be holding me back.
The question is...why would anyone buy them if they can just download , take to photoshop and print?
What are the pros and cons on this Issue?
Thanks
Katy

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Welcher...

This is a great shot... I have this 'fetish' for the theme of 'form and function' in photography. Form and Function, to me, is a study of mechanics where the lines and shapes that create some mechanical function are the dominant part of the image. This photo fits right into that theme. Your lighting really does a great job of accenting that theme and the strong diagonal composition always seems to enhance the appeal of the image. The shallow depth of field you chose here is also an excellent element of the photo. It brings my eye right to the two 'arm' joints on the corkscrew. The opposing diagonals created by the wood grain surface was also a nice idea....

I have no suggestions for improvement on this... great shot :)

Keep up the great work :)

Very nice DOF here, I think it is very effective. I like the surface you chose, the dark wood, it creates a gloomy mood with the black background. Good detail on the corkscrew too. 10

Good focus showing off the texture on the surface. Wish the screw could have been in focus since it is in the shot.

Not another kitchen item :-D, seriously, this is in my top 10. The detail, lighting and DOF make this a great shot.

Excellent lighting, clarity and composition. The dof is very well done also. Great choice of subject to photograph too. Nice job and GL in this weeks challenge.

Super shot.. Great lighting and focus. Like the shallow DOF, but would have liked to be able to make out just a LITTLE more of the "screw" part of the corkscrew. It IS the most important part IMO.. 8

Like the DOF and the lighting, a simple everyday tool that is a great photo.

too bad the screw isn't more distinct, thought the shoulders are interesting.
