 One more leaf in a puddle shot - I guess this type of image appeals to me :)

Very dead leaf in a small puddle after a rain storm. Saturated the colors, gausian blurred the background until just the hint of ripples and a tree reflection remain. Painted the leaf back in with a history brush. Darkened the shadow areas with a soft burn. Cropped, resized, saved for the web.

I keep being drawn to simple images and yours is one that pulled me in by the lovely composition and the use of complementary colors to heighten the effect. Well done.

A really good spring photo. The reflections and textures, how the leaf is stuck in the ice... Simplicity at its finest.
