I really wanted to get a photo of an actual person for the emotion challenge but didn't have anyone to use and wasn't really around people this week save for work. So I was driving around after lunch and saw this out of the corner of my eye. Shot in Worthington, OH. The name of the piece is "First Flight" and it is by Alfred Tibor. Adjustments include only minor cropping and desaturation of colors.

Mother and child is a good depiction, but I'm not really moved by this one.

There is a lot of motion in the image. I would like to have seen the whole statue. I think less background clutter would have been beter for this shot. Lighting is a little flat.

Well first of all.... the angle of the picture is GREAT because it gives the feeling of the woman swinging the child around! The lighting is OK but a little dark.

good capture... the color seems a little flat in this shot... maybe a saturation and contrast bump would bring it up just a little... - setzler

Usually I don't like tilted photos but it works in this one. I also like the subtle colors.

I wish the subject would "pop-out" from the background more...
