Love the perspective in this shot and the sky is killer (no pun intended). Congrats on your 16th place finish! The only thing that seems a little off to me in this shot is that the foreground and trees all seem to be a little paler/washed out compared to the deep tones of the monument and sky. It's probably an artistic choice you made during processing to emphasize the two (and it was obviously effective), but I just noticed a difference. Very nice work.
whoa...i'm going to have to give RSE another look. even though your treatment is killer, it does help to have a strong base image to work with. good job!
so is that the actual sky? judging from the top of the trees, it looks to be cropped out and replaced.
This is the result of blending two separate RAW develops. Not as neat as could possibly have been done. The sky was brought out like this using Rawshooter Essentials as recommended by e301.
I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.
