one of the most meaningful and personal portraits i've ever seen. the subtle range of emotions captures his personality perfectly and gives the viewer a glimpse at his soul. brilliant work, manny!
this great for a couple of reasons...for one, the portrait itself is wonderful, the composition, lighting and background--all the product of an exceptional eye. the other reason is a bit more subtle, but you managed to capture the very essence of your subject. in that i mean that in the portrait, you see a calm, almost placid expression--but in the reflection, you can see the spark of humor, sarcasm...that little quirk of expression that probably defines his personality. wonderful capture.
Wonderful composition. How in the world are your brains functioning - I only wish to get 25% of the way - I'll be more than happy on that level. I guess that differentiates technical photography from art.
