a different take on half of face composition, i like it, not sure if the color version would had be a bit better, showing bright colors in the lips and eye......6

The close cropping of this image is what sets it apart from the other 'primates looking bored' images. I find the stray hairs in his eyebrow a bit distracting, particularly since their proximity to the edge of the frame highlights them. I think I see some subtle compression artifacts, particularly around his eyebrow and eyelashes; you may want to check the image compression settings on your camera.
