Thanks shannon: Maybe not many people have read Ullyses, that's why some points were lost :)

Thanks everybody for the comments, I think this is one of my best photos ever...
Idea was to compare the boredom of a book (yes, same chapters are!) and a beautiful painting when at the same time the boredom of the white color and the colorful painting
The photo was taken in the bed to increase the tired feeling but I failed in showing more of the pillow...
With advanced rule I would have cleaned some spots and reflexions...
The light was located between the book and painting, I think is a nice lighting trick...
Thanks again and I understand if I hurt some Irish's feelings: it was not my intention (we have "el quijote" sometimes boring also :)

Very interesting take on the challenge. Also compositionally and from the execution point of view, this picture clearly stands out of the pack ! Good job (10)

good shot, the focus through the glasses is always an eye catcher (no pun intended). i think it would have been a bit better if it was sitting on a table instead of a material.

but it sure made sleeping easier ...
--I like the background & colors & highligt on the frame
though this may not mean much to people who have not read (attemped) Ulises

Pandering to stereotypes of boring books, but I like the idea! Also very well executed - how do you keep your glasses so clean? Background might be considered a bit distracting, but I like it - not a "stock" style with zero background, but adds colour without being too much I think. Only criticism is that you appear to have a dead pixel in centre of white area on book.

The title is a bit wordy, but everything else is very nice. This is a good idea, I'm surprised I passed on the opportunity to slam James Joyce :) Maybe a black and white would work here too.
